Safety should be the number one priority of runners, especially when it is dark a lot longer now that winter is almost here.

I always run early mornings so it is important for me to see and be seen on those runs. I normally wear a reflective vest, reflective clothing and a light up wrist bracelet but I wasn’t feeling as safe as I knew I could/should, so when I was given the chance to try out the new Nathan Luna Fire 250 RX chest/waist light I opted in and I am glad I did! The light on this is seriously bright! There is no way that I won’t be seen now!

It is rechargeable via USB so you never have to worry about not having a battery. It comes with the chest/waist strap as well the USB cord. There is a side button to change settings and at first I couldn’t get it to turn on but I found that using my fingernail or the very tip of my finger worked well. If you double-click it then you will get the strobe feature. There are five different brightness settings including a strobe setting. The light is removable and can clip on anywhere you choose to clip it, like your jacket, shorts shirt, or hydration vest. The strap is very comfortable and I hardly noticed it was there, but I did notice a bit of bouncing while running. The bounce does not really bother me if I’m in a fairly well-lit area. But, if I am on a super dark street it can be a bit bothersome that the light bounces around because it then seems more like it is on the strobe setting if that makes sense. The strap is adjustable but I had a hard time getting it tight enough so it wouldn’t bounce as much. You can also tilt the light down to light your path even better.

There was an issue with my light shutting off after about half an hour but Nathan was quick to respond and they sent me a new one right away. Now that’s great customer service! They have free returns and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

This light is Ragnar approved so it’s a great alternative to a headlamp!

It retails for $39.99 which is very reasonable! If you would like to order this or any of the other awesome products that Nathan has to offer, use code NATHANBIB20 to save 20% off site-wide for a one time purchase of up to $250!
